Lapis Lazuli

383 Lapis Lazuli – 33g & 35x20x23mm – or Lapis for short, is a deep blue metamorphic rock. It consisting largely of Lazurite (20% to 40%), but also contains white Calcite, blue Sodalite, and metallic yellow Pyrite. Lapis Lazuli usually occurs in crystalline marble as a result of contact metamorphism. Lapis was used in the funeral mask of Tutankhamun.
