Lizardite

287 Lizardite – 35g – Népouite is a rare nickel silicate mineral with an apple-green colour. Most specimens contain some Magnesium. Lizardite is a similar mineral in which all the Nickel is replaced by Magnesium. The two minerals form a series, with varying proportions of Nickel to Magnesium. Lizardite may be white, yellow or green, and comprises much of the Serpentine present in Serpentine marbles.
